Add a swing tag to each of your items with 'your name - brand - small description - size - price' e.g. 'Elle W - Gorman - Pink Dress - Size 12 - $35'.
Tags are available in most stores that sell stationary, or you can get creative and make your own, as long as the information is readable and they don't easily come off. We recommend swing tags or safety pins. -

Yes. We recommend you put items on sale across the second half of the month to increase sales.
-
We make every effort to prevent this with security cameras and watchful eyes; however, as with all retail stores, there is always a risk that people will steal. We do not take responsibility for lost or stolen items.
Items may be misplaced within the shop and placed on a different rack- we try to stop this as much as possible, and as long as the tag is still on it, the sale will be allocated to you or the item returned to you. -
We take great care with your items, but wear and tear can happen (e.g., make-up stains from trying on). If there are items you don’t want to risk, we recommend you don’t bring them in. We don't take responsibility for damaged goods (unless it was our error, of course).
-
We cannot guarantee sales or profits. It’s best to keep your rack topped up and consider offering discounts towards the end of your hire to maximise your return.
-
We’re all about quality, longevity, and circular style — so we kindly ask that all items be in good, clean condition (that means washed).
We will give most items a go, but reserve the right to remove anything from the rack we deem unsuitable.
-
While we allow all brands, fast fashion like anko and shein are unlikely to sell - we recommend you have a maximum of 3 of these items at a time and charge, like, $3 an item.
-
We will give most things a go. IF we see something we don't want we will let you know straight away. We do reserve the right to say no to any items.
-

Your buying questions answered
-
A rent-a-rack store allows people to rent rack space within the store for a set period of time. It’s a simple way to clear out your wardrobe and sell clothes you no longer wear in one physical space, without the hassle of online selling or managing multiple platforms.
Rent-a-rack makes reselling easy, social, and sustainable. You earn money from pieces that deserve a second life, help reduce textile waste, and support the circular economy — all while skipping endless messages, shipping, and ghosted buyers. It’s a low-stress, feel-good way to declutter and let your clothes be worn and loved again. -

As we operate as a reseller marketplace, all items are sold on behalf of individual sellers. For this reason, we’re unable to offer refunds or exchanges. We recommend checking item condition, sizing, and authentication carefully before purchasing.
-
We encourage renters to discount items as they get close to the end of their rental terms. Any rack could be on sale at any time, it saves to look around.
-
Our stock is based on what our rentals are selling, and this can absolutely include designer label items. While we do ask for authentication to be provided, we cannot guarantee authenticity of any items as we are not sourcing them ourselves.
